Tracking materials and statuses
Understanding Missing, Received, Needs update, and Final — and how to move items through the workflow.
Item statuses
- Missing — nothing submitted yet. If the item is required, it shows in the attention list.
- Received — the contributor has submitted something. You've seen it but haven't marked it final.
- Needs update — you've reviewed it and want a revision. The contributor sees your note.
- Final — you've approved it. This version is included in the export.
Requesting an update
Open any item and click Request update. You can write a note explaining what needs to change (e.g. 'Higher resolution please — at least 1000px square'). The contributor sees this note on their next visit.
Marking as final
When you're happy with a submission, mark it Final. This tells Draftpile to include it in the export and removes it from the attention list. You can un-final it at any time while the room is active.
Version history
Every time a contributor replaces a file, the previous version is saved. You can view the version history for any item to see all uploads and when they happened. The export includes the current version — previous versions are kept in a _History subfolder if you export with history enabled.
