What contributors see
A walk-through of the contributor experience — from the invite email to submitting files.
The invite email
Contributors receive an email with their name, the room name, what they need to submit, the due date, and a button to open their link. The link is unique to them — it doesn't work for anyone else.
The email gate
When a contributor opens their link, they're asked to enter the email address the invite was sent to. This is the only authentication step — no password, no account, no portal to learn. They see only their own items.
Submitting materials
Each item has a clear upload button, text field, URL input, or checkbox. Contributors can submit items one at a time or all at once. Every submission is saved automatically — they can close the tab and return later.
Replacing a file
If you or Draftpile Assist requests an update on a file, the contributor sees a note explaining what needs to change. They upload the new version — the previous one is preserved as version history so you can compare.
After submission
Contributors see a confirmation state with a summary of what they've provided. They can return to the link at any time to replace files or check their status until the room is locked.
